Q. How often are there Medicare Workshops in my area?
A. In most areas, there is a workshop every 4 to 6 weeks
Q. How long does the workshop last?
A. Our workshops are truly an educational event. We will always start on time at 6:30 PM or if we are having a lunch meeting, 11:30AM. Depending on the number of questions, about an hour and a half.
Q. Am I required to purchase anything before I leave?
A. NO. We do not sell anything during or at the workshop. It is truly an educational event.
Q. I’m certain that I do not need Medicare Benefits at this time, should I still come?
A. We do our best to talk with everyone who makes a reservation before the workshop. When we speak, we will ask you about your Health Care and what you will be doing after you turn 65. Most people DO need to come, however there may be a reason for you not to come to a workshop, or wait until you are sure you will need Medicare Benefits before you attend. Either way, you will receive sound advice on what you need to do with your Medicare Benefits. We want everyone who wants to attend to do so.
Q. I sit with my grandchildren daily, can I bring them too?
A. This is a workshop designed for Adults that need to learn about Medicare. It is not the place for children to be, as they will get bored and may cause a disturbance. Out of respect for the other attendees, we ask that you do not bring children.
Q. How many guests can I bring with me?
A. For attendees who are turning 65 in the next 6 months, we allow your spouse, or significant other. We also encourage you to invite a friend who will be turning 65 soon as well. Please limit your guests to 1 or 2, making sure the guests are a spouse, significant other, and 1 age appropriate friend.
Q. What do I need to bring with me?
A. You won’t need to bring anything with you. We have all the materials and information you need, and it is yours to keep. We do encourage that you bring a sweater or jacket. It does get chilly in some of the meeting rooms when we close the doors. We do not want you to be uncomfortable.
Q. What’s on the menu
A. Some of our workshop locations serve a buffet lunch, so you have your choice of what or what not to eat. If we use a location that does not serve a buffet, we will have a small menu that you can choose an entree. Usually meat, chicken, salad or fish.
